Campaign workflow
Using X Reply Mockups in Campaign Concept Presentations
An X-style reply mockup can help a team picture the tone of a campaign conversation. It works best as a clearly labeled thought starter before production begins.
Open the X reply template ↗Use a reply to make the brief concrete
Campaign language can feel abstract in a deck. A sample reply gives the team a small, recognizable object to react to: is this the response we want to invite?
This is the first brand collab that actually explained the tradeoff.
Label concepts clearly
Mark mockups as sample social response, concept visual, or illustrative copy. Use fictional identities unless you have documented permission and a clear reason to use a real one.
- Keep source research on a separate slide.
- Use mockups to discuss tone, not prove demand.
- Add a context label wherever the image can travel alone.
Turn feedback into a next step
After showing the reply, ask whether the campaign should invite this reaction, avoid it, or answer it. Capture the decision in the brief so the mockup improves the work instead of becoming decoration.
Creator tip: A single well-chosen reply is stronger than a wall of simulated conversation.
