How to Present Social-Creative Concepts to Clients with Mockups

A concept becomes easier to approve when a client can see its intended shape. Social comment mockups clarify the audience prompt, response, or conversation a piece of creative is designed to create.

Show the concept in sequence

Place the comment beside the frame, script line, or creator action it motivates. A standalone social visual can be misunderstood; a small sequence makes the creative logic easy to follow.

  • Audience prompt
  • Creator or brand response
  • Visual proof or payoff

Ask for specific feedback

Do not ask whether the mockup looks realistic. Ask whether the audience question is worth answering, whether the response matches the brand voice, and whether the proposed proof is convincing.

Useful review question

Would this question make the product demonstration feel necessary rather than scripted?

Make the status unambiguous

Label each social visual as concept, mockup, or illustrative response. This protects the team from confusing a creative device with real campaign performance.

Creator tip: Keep mockups adjacent to the decisions they support, not isolated in a mood-board page.
